Help fishing Pearl River!

I'm fishing a club tournament on Pearl River this saturday, does anyone have any experience here, I heard from people its been real good around there, I've fished a lot of the small rivers and canals around the north shore but haven't made it to the pearl yet any info on where to fish and what to fish with would be helpful. if you don't want you comment posted in public pm me.

my buddy just told me he has been fishing with a small zoom craw on the bottom. I just hope the rigolets and pearl don't get any oil before then or at all!

Pearl river empties into the Rigolets in Slidell, it is on the mississippi/Louisiana border. its fresh water but it is effected by tidal water.
