I hunted on the plant once this year, I wanna say the blind was called ridge 4. We killed a limit of grey ducks and a few geese. If the water wouldn't have been there we could have killed an easy limit of geese, but we wouldn't have shot any ducks. They wanted in that flooded cut that day, we didn't have a duck decoy one
My Print head is out on my printer but Ill take some Pics of Solo Hunts I made on my Cell and post them.......We use to pound the ducks on the Plant....I have heard its not near as good as it use to be

FACT: There is NOT one shred of evidence of changing dates/limits, that is what started this discussion, we will not know until August at the earliest

FACT: You can argue this til you are blue in the face (provide visual graphs derived from scientific data collection) and not one mind will be changed, especially a duck hunters mind Duck hunters are worse than deer hunters when it comes to people thinking they know everything (although this race is close with all the 7 year olds that can age deer by the jawbone and tell the age of a deer on the hoof)

This discussion was started because some reporter wrote a story about it in the Lake Charles paper. No one ever anything that this was a for sure thing that was happening right now. Quit arguing with yourself.

Been about 6 or 7 years since I hunted there, ever since my cousin Guy gave his spot at the lodge. He has a spot near Boone's corner now.

WAY BACK when mallards came to Louisiana. It was almost 70 degrees this entire week. Ducks Unlimited ran out of corn to dump in Missouri and their heater quit running and didn't heat the ponds, the ducks finally made it down

Just because there aren't any mallards at someones blind doesnt mean they don't come. Just saying. I see and kill great numbers of mallards every year.
