Default I-pilot thoughts?

I need a new trolling motor and have read good things about the I pilot. Just a little concerned about the learning curve with the remote. Currently when trolling I just use my knee to bump and change direction when fishing a bank or reef. Rarely is this in a straight line - seems like it would be a pain to be fumbling with a remote instead of what I was previously doing with no hands. I know the anchor lock would be a nice feature.
