My cousin scheduled his bachelor party in Austin for Labor Day weekend. I was planning on going to LSU/TCU but we are real close so I backed out on that. Well yesterday he texts me and says that alot of guys couldn't make that weekend so he rescheduled for Sep 13-16. I said, "Bro I love you, but I ain't missing opening weekend of teal season unless someone is dead!" Talked him into rescheduling for weekend before Labor Day weekend. His brother whom I'm equally tight with scheduled his last year in ATL for Falcons/Saints opening weekend of duck season and wouldn't budge. I didn't make that one of course!

Man i'm ready and it can't get here fast enough. I took the opening week off to hunt every day. I can't wait to hear the first flock buzz over my head then hit the call watch them bank and start watching the feathers fly.

I think my dog is just as ready as I am...all he wants to do is play fetch, picked up a gun the other day he waited at the front door and looked at me like lets go!
