Watched this morning from the 5th floor of lauberge as 3 boats snugged up to the shore on the channel. Unfortunately for them the birds were pounding the water just across the bank in that open water in front of the casino. I bet those birds weren't more than 100 yards away from them. Conductivity is a measurement of the "electricity" transfered through the water. The amount of "Mud" or dirt particle does effect this reading but the salt content is another major factor in this reading.

Correct salt water is way more conductive than fresh water. Mud content has little to do with conductivity in any water (fresh or salt)
