I don't usually get aggravated with em. They just trying to make a living. A lot of them will go around if you are fishing and come back later.

That's not my experience in the bay?? I'm not talking about the big rigs though, it's the local guys in the smaller rigs that'll run 5" from you wide open. I've threatened to cut their floats off many of times!!

Can honestly say I don't ever remember one doing that to me on Big Lake.

the crabbers are a little different, they are out there to make a living and don't really have time to slow down for every boat (especially VBay), they are trying to get thru with their work for the day, whereas we are out there for recreation. Most crabbers I have ran across look like they wouldn't hesitate to jump in your boat and squabble if you were to cuss them

I actually apologized to a crabber a few weeks back. Didn't realize he was a crabber. He pulled up pretty close to me in a 24' kenner and I gave the ole hands in the air *** motion. Few minutes later he blows right by me and I see him circle a float and pick it up. Well, I felt like crap and trolled over to him and apologized. Super nice guy.

I've had crabbers tell me where the fish were before, nice guys trying to make a living as far as I'm concerned.

I agree got a good friend that is a commercial crabber - helped him run his traps many times - it's hard to skip a few in a line and come back
