salty the triple tail will hang around anything floating ie. crab pots, buoys, grass, boards, anything thats floating willl hold some tail

beats me, i think they lay flat to look like the float so bait swims by thinking nothing of it then boom they got dinner(just my .02 though I have been wrong before once)
