It's all about tolerance and respect for others. I believe I'll have to make one of those decorations for my yard too!!

LMAO............if you honestly think that you will be the only person raising your kids, then you are in for a rude awakening. I dont think the saying is meant to say any stranger in the neighborhood should correct/teach/discipline your child, but for the people that will will be a constant in his/her life will. There are times that my son is left with my parents and close friends and I hope that they correct my child if he misbehaves. I dont have a problem with them whipping him or putting him on his knees if he is acting up. At least he knows that there will always be consequences even if I'm not around to see. I remember my dad used to tell the people I was left with "If he acts up whip his a$$". and if they did I would get another a$$ whippin when I got home. If you ask me, thats whats wrong with kids today. They know they can get away with anything when the parents arent around with no consequences for acting up.

I think the majority has spoken here and in numerous other threads so, quit trying yo pull a "*" and leave it alone. This is many of our conviction. There's nothing wrong with it in our mind and heart so, if you're all about kids having personal freedoms, who are you to tell a grow MBA that they are wrong?
"Thinking" is obviously not one of your strong points.

if your genious self wanted me to leave it alone ...why would your parting sentence end with a "?"

let me spell it out for you since you are having trouble deciphering what i have said...

I NEVER said anything about kids having personal freedoms...all i said was that the world would MOST LIKELY be a better place if everyone would worry about their OWN kids as much as they worried about others. TWIST THAT HOWEVER YOU MAY LIKE...ITS THE TRUTH

of course i agree with you...and i believe in respect as much as the next guy...but there is a huge difference between your parents/relatives correcting your offspring than the next door neighbor

I feared my neighbors dad as much as my own. I guess that's just the diffence in upbringing. I don't expect everyone to understand.

As far as questioning my intellect or comprehension, well, it's better left alone. Vote left or raise your kids how you want. I'll raise mine to respect a man and his beliefs as well as The Good Book.

UFC is over so, I'm gonna go make sure my respectful kids are tucked in tight, say a prayer and get ready to build that simple, beautiful cross tomorrow.

God bless and thanks for the inspiration PReaux! Good night all!

I can understand your point a-rick.........
I remember years ago, my brother was always in trouble......and my parents always blamed "those boys" he hung around with. I am positive "those boys" parents where saying the same thing.....thus no parent making their child responsible.......

However, and make no mistake here, the devil uses those little small aquiesences (sp) to fool us as a people and eat us one bite at a time.

When we all "do what is right for us" and not look past our own white picket fence, forget about our neighbor and fellow man, become a people of "me" , population one........then my friend THE EVIL ONE WILL HAVE HIS DAY.

Not implying you feel that way at all, like I said I see your point, and always appreciate your post......

Just looked at this thread, and to me it just seems like the kids were making fun of the lights and wood, not saying anything about Christianity. Kids these days are litle sihts anyway.

Southern:

I like what you said "repsect a Fellow Man, regardless of belief." Just make sure you practice what you preach. In another thread you talked about little old ladies who tried to "Jew you down". Not very repectful, regardless of belief.

Perhaps you are right on that. I actually have to agree. Probably wasn't the best term to use but, I've never associated the phrase with the Jewish race. You are right though, we all need to practice what we preach and thanks for bringing that to my attention.
