Kind of like Bill Belichick or Bill parcells or Nick Saban has winning football games down to a science.
Or Bruce Bough and J Adams has catching big trout down to a science.
get it???

Catching big trout involves 3 things
Time on water #1
Knowledge of area and patience #2
Luck #3

Zero Science involved

But I see of one wants to use the phrase "i have it down to a science " which boils down to work and effort??

Training a dog is not Rocket Science ( phrase is used there)

So, would you not consider the years of fishing log books you keep scientific? I mean, I could write down a bunch of stuff in a book and, name it my fish book but, it wouldn't mean half of what you time on the water means. Science is investing time and, collecting data. Science is also learning ways to make dogs not just perform but, perform better.

A riverboat captain likely has the same license as you but, it doesn't make him a guide. Time effort, research and, understanding your final product makes a good guide. I'd say the same for a good dog trainer.

I do say sir, we have a pair that will rival any rat dog you say you have.

We at MRD are some of the most highly revered rat dog trainers this side of the Mississippi

Judging by your grasp of the english language and ability to form actual sentences you are not cut out to train a ratdog.
