Good Majors for Louisiana

What are your opinions on good college majors for Louisiana. My daughter is talking about nursing but I really don't think she is the nursing type. She likes science and I have been thinking that something more environmentally oriented might be of interest to her. of the more environmental type be more her speed. I noticed that LSU has an environmental risk and management major. Does anyone have any ideas about a major that might have a high demand here in Louisiana, especially south Louisiana? I realize I can't pick her major for her, but I can make suggestions.
