Beach report. 3 specs in the morning . Water is pretty along the jetties . By the beach is dirty.

just three... ur talking abt the jetties in cameron or the jetties along the shoreline past holly beach cux tha where were mostly talking abt is the ones tha are along the shoreline right after holly beach heading toward to johson bayou. man im having a hard time thinking if i sud take a chance on going way out there from lafayette but if just three its making me pace back and forth thinking sud i go or sud i not go. i pretty much rather go and catch over 15 or so than just 3 lol.

Got to Mayes Beach this afternoon around 4:45 and the water looked like espresso... fished for a minute w/ no luck. Water looked horrible all up and down hwy 82.... gonna take few more days 2 get clean.

also, surf is full of sea weed.... made fishing top water nearly impossible.

I heard the same thing. Closed due to coastal restoration projects via dredging operations and will open back up on the 26th... Anyone have more info would hate to make that drive for nothing.

Weirs are closed ..they opened them for 48hrs due to new moon..next time they open will be 48 hours for full moon unless salinity falls

Probably dredging some sediment to dump on the beach to try and build it up.

Caught about a dozen. If we woulda stayed in one spot we may have done better. We picked up a couple then rode to the channel to check it out. Went back to the beach and started pickin em up right off then they shut down. We just caught the end of the bite.
