They stocked it up after that and many times after....now its just about the ducks and I really don't think they will stock it back

When there was a woman running it, it was all about the Bass.
Not sure who is running it now.

It's always been about the ducks. It's the reason for lacassine. It ain't and never was about the fish. Just ask Ron Castile how bad that has always frustrated him.

It was about the fish at some point or they would of never stocked it with Florida hybrids

You all need to get together and go see Willie Mae Gary and have her petition the refuge, so they can restock it. Her and shorty got the pull to get things done. If you don't think so, just ask them.

From what I understand it wasn't the refuge that stocked it. It was a group of fishermen that stocked it. Of course I'm not positive.

I gator hunted in the pool for 6 years. I started in '92. There was a lady running the refuge back then. She was all about fishing, she hated the gator hunters. Even though there were so many gators, they were eating each other.
In the 6 years there, we saw 2 Nutria. Had several 6' gators that weighed 45 pounds. They were starving cause there were so many.
She may have been the one who brought in the fish, cause that's all she talked about, all she wanted to deal with.

The refuge supplied the bass to be stocked back then. But the would ask for guys to stock them because. When the truck got there they only had a short time to get them stocked. They would give each boat some small bas and tell you where to go release them.

Not in Lacassine. THems the skinny gators of the South.
Ethopian chickens have more meat on their bones than a gator from Lacassine.

I hunted inside the pool for 6 years. We would catch a big un now and then but most were malnurished. Lacassine outside the pool had huge gators. Inside were lizards.

If they re-stocked the pool Catch and release would need to be practiced for a while and that doesnt seem like an option to most people that fish there
Its seems like not keep the fish is absurd to alot of the people

It seems like to most that youre supposed to keep fish
