Scratches for friday and saturday in sweetlake this weekend. Unfortunately it wasnt the bird's fault this time. Not many birds in area. You get maybe 1 or 2 chances and if you dont capitalize on the oppurtunity well thats it.

Stupid me left my tunnel boat in da water on the bank. Hunting partner went yesterday; engine was inches from being under water with everything floating inside! Seems we picked up around 5 inches in GC. Feast or famine down there lately. What ducks are down there are scattered everywhere. Might have to hunt out of the blinds in smaller ponds the last 2 weekends. Might go scouting Friday morning if i can get out.
DGG, this thread ain't over till the season ends! Best one ever! Thanks!

same here with the boat ours was almost sunk. With all that water it's gonna be tough for sure. Not gonna be able to pass on any shots now if it flies it dies.

if I go out Friday I'll give ya a heads up on whats out there.......
Just a passing thought; last time we had all this water during the season the ducks moved into flooded pastures north of the road. Might have to take a ride on our northern section to see if they moved in those fields....

Just bought me some waders! Ready to make a hunt with raymond. We finally got water in our field. Apparently a guy killed a limit of ducks at our blind today.
