Default May 26 & 27 Big Lake

Wife and I hit the water Thurs afternoon around 1pm and 1st reef we picked up 7 or 8 trout real quick and 2nd drift I spotted a triple tail and threw and threw until he left. Few minutes later I saw another one and with out any live bait aboard i knew it would be hard to catch these....So I called my Chief expert on the water Mr. Capt Reed() to discuss the problem I had .... he passed down a family secret and it worked (never will tell)'
So it was ON.........
Wife and I managed about 15 or so trout and 3 tripletail...

Friday morning John D ,Cory D and I headed out..... Pulled up to our 1st spot to find a bunch of jumping shrimp... I tied John on a new GunDog little Dummy topwater and I had one on my self.... Smash ....Smash and Smash for the 1st 15 mins of action.
We were able to chase the shrimp and trout with a few reds in the mix for about 20mins....Then the boats came like it was free hundred dollar bill day! All 3 of us were hooked up and then we had 7 to 10 boats around us in no time....Well with big motors moving in and trolling motors wide open that pretty much killed our bite!
Winds Picked up to about 15-20mph and we just picked up a trout here and there....Plus a few more Triple tail...

((Tal...I wish I could of got some good pic with the Gundog baits but the bite was fast and I was sure we would of had plenty of them that day...Wind and armory of boats messed that up...Will have some later in week))

Nice triples Jeremy. I was out there on Friday but the wind was howling. Many undersize fish and a few keepers. My buddy did manage a 7 1/2 pounder early in Turners. He is supposed to send me the pic so I can post it.

I hear some people call it fisherman's elbow, Some people cast and retreive with one hand and learn how to do it with the other hand so they can still fish when it gets real bad.
