I bought some on the water in Lake Charles at $3.16 at Bowtie and on the water in Cameron a couple days later it was $2.80 at the ASCO dock.
Being on the water makes it a lot easier for those who run out of gas often. They won't have to wear down their trolling motor batteries anymore. |

I hope that it is not E10 at Hebert's.
Cormies still has regular gasoline, but they are considering changing to E10. Please let Cormies know if you would like them to remain ethanol free. |

Outboards don't like E-10 as well as gas with MTBE.
If you have a newer boat with a newer motor, it won't be as bad. |

Should be.
E-10 has a history of cleaning out fuel deposits and other gunk that has built up in motors and tanks. It also absorbs water, which is bad. If you keep your tank full, especially if you don't use it for a long time, it will help. Or use a fuel stabilizer to keep the ethanol and gas from separating. If you use your boat a lot, you should not have many problems. Letting it sit up without being full of gas can cause phase separation. Ethanol separating from the gas, falling to the bottom of the tank. That Ethanol will not burn in your motor unless it is mixed with the gas. Once it separates from the gas, it won't mix back in with the gas. Ethanol burns with less BTU's than other additives. Which means less power. |
