How does she like it for "action shots"

They say to "shoot" ducks in flight, try and get the best fps (frames per second) Well, i was looking at the nikon d40, and it shoots 2.5 fps..and is $50 more...EOS rebel shoots 3 fps and is less than the Nikon..
So hopefully i'll be able to get decent shots of ducks in flight..Would prefer 7 fps, but thats a lil too rich for my blood

What size lens do yall have?? And is it worth getting the XSI (40 bucks more) than the XS?

Cannon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM lens Will cost you $500 + for this lens.

XSI or XS ? Do the feature comparison and decide if it is worth the extra for you.

I just picked up a Nikon D80 from a buddy of mine a month ago. I got four lenses in the deal, speedlight, case, etc. and I'm ready to start learning some tips and tricks.

Like you, I want to start taking some outdoor pics. Definitely not a shutterbug yet, but I'm working on it.

What the best software you've found to edit your photos?

The lens with the IS is super expensive. If you have a steady enough hand it will not matter. You can pick up a 70-300mm lens for around $200 without the IS function. Go ahead and get the XSI. The best part about the Cannon Rebel series is that you can just use the standard setting and still get great shots.

Also the features of the camera are important, but knowing how to use your camera is even more important. Check out this website, it is very informative. www.kenrockwell.com he goes into using the different settings TV, AV etc..

I own an XSI and love it. There are also more aftermarket lenses for Canon cameras than there are for other brands.

I bought my wife this lens for Christmas. It was $200 at Amazon.com. She uses it alot and works great. There are all types of lenses for a lot less money.

Yep, that represents the water you can drop it in without fryin' it. I'm gonna drag mine around with a rope just for the heck of it.
