Frontier is a much bigger 21ft boat and can be had as little as 30k or 40k rigged with EVERYTHING. It compares closer to the Nauticstar 2200 as far as size.

I saw the Nautic Star Boats 244 on this page. Does anyone have experience with this model?

What's the story on the cutout just aft of the center of the hull?

That's gotta do nothing for ride, eh? Looks more like it would create lift for planing, dad told me never to assume though.

Interesting

That is correct. It is just to help get the boat on plane. They are really nice boats.

Interesting
There hull itself is the same design they had for years. They just added the cutout and transom sponsons with the XTS models. It makes a big difference in holeshot and bow lift. We have a 244 with a 300 yamaha digital shift on the showroom at redmonds marine, they are a sweet ride.

Guy in my neighborhood just picked one up in the same color scheme as my boat. Goldish tan up too, and white everywhere else. Sharp looking rig

I have a 2010 NauticStar 2200TE with a 225 Yamaha...first boat I've ever owned. It has been nothing but a pleasure. Lots of room, handles rough water with ease....just push the nose down with the trim tabs and let it eat! It can get shallow enough to wadefish in the Lower Laguna Madre in South Texas. I can get up in 24 inches of water with 6 guys, wade gear, coolers, full tank of gas. I do not have a jackplate on it either. Family loves it. If I was buying another boat it would be a Shallow Sport or a Mowdy only to get into really skinny water (8-10 inches) which you really don't need to be in anyway!
