a better question would be what don't I like about it. lol Whenever I go by myself, my enjoyment is one figuring them and just to think that if I'd ever make it big this is how it'd be just me and the fish and then just fishing my tail off. Trying new things and succeeding is just a phenomenal feeling. When fishing with someone else, my favorite things are fairly simple things like enjoying the weather or environment and looking for wildlife whether its fish, birds, or deer and just watching how peaceful things in nature are. My wife is finally starting to learn how to just relax in the boat instead of rushing me, and she may actually enjoy going out just to relax and its just awesome to experience the serenity of the outdoors with someone who means so much to you and see them enjoy it as much as you did.

I could definitely go on, but I see a bunch of the people here love it for the same reasons, which is just to share the experience and of course chase some trophies!!

I fish because I love a challenge. I just took up salt water fishing last year and I am having a blast learning about it. Even the trips where I don't catch much I still love it. I am now introducing my wife and girls to it and I hope they get bit by the bug too. Solo fishing is kinda of like my church time. I enjoy the peaceful solitude and it gives time to reflect and have private conversations with myself and my maker.

I enjoy most of the things the others on here have said, but one thing I really love is the culinary aspect. I love to eat well, and some of the dishes that I have made from the fish and shellfish that I have personally harvested are unequaled by any restraunt at any price. I think the food tastes just a little better when you know what it took to catch it.

I used to duck hunt pretty hot and heavy. For me, I loved calling. I loved knowing I fooled that wild animal into coming in close enough to get a shot. Fishing is the same way for me. I enjoy fooling those fish into hitting my bait, and maybe this one is the biggest yet! Along with that, I just love being on the water. Catching is bonus.

I fish for the chase. I fish freshwater more so than salt but enjoy both. Saltwater is when I go to put something in the freezer and freshwater I am after a 10# for the wall. Most of all I fish w/ my father alot and his health over the last few years has really headed south. We are hitting Toledo Bend week after next for some father/son quality time. Recently I was introduced to fishing the beach areas and BL and have had a blast and was going to purchase a saltwater boat. Talked myself out of it and got a Ranger bass boat but it will be in BL regardless.
