I like a boat ride myself but when you're talking fuel, longer truck drive and more fuel to use for fishing. Or just pound VB, trout aren't always there but for the most part redfish are only as far as you want to travel. growing up and living a couple miles south of New Iberia it's like I'm in my backyard.

Franklin bridge. I have a camp in Chauvin and have always had a boat ride before. The drive is much more convenient. The truck is always more reliable than the boat. If you ever had to get towed back to the launch that eats up a day, you will understand! I also think it gives you more range to explore and run if you need to o the water if you truck it .
Just my opinion. |
