Nice hunt....My buddy had some come into his spread at four mile square this year which is unusual for his blind.

When you see spots bc you been looking so hard to see erry duck in the am.... You love it! Isn't it so easy to get hooked on? I love to fish but nothing gets me pumped like whistling wings.... The tide never stops moving, the deer never stop moving...its always some type if action and so many more times you sit back and say.... Wow... You don't see this everyday....priceless.... That's what I want nate(bassykr) to see! Duck hunting success! I have a harder time bringing ppl on weekends bc of the amount of ppl in our lease and he works weekdays but man I want him to get the fever baaaaad!!! To me and to each his own... I could catch trout on top all day but it doesn't hold a candle to 20 pins locked up working 5x then committing feet down!!!

Watching birds come in, and then actually calling them in and have em locked up is something hard to explain without experiencing it...freakin awesome feeling.

That's funny, I have been texting brother Nate about duck hunting too.
Do you really want to get your buddy hooked on a new passion that will consume all his time and money. There's no catch and release in hunting. My hunting buddy often asks why I don't shoot every duck that comes in range like he does. Sometimes I just like to watch them fly and circle, then only when they commit do I shoot them.

I like the fast action of ducks. But watching a flock of ten specks cupped up flipping and cutting air is something else. When they flip on their side and drop about 20ft straight down thats what gets my blood pumping.

Couldnt have said it better! A couple weeks ago they cam in flipping right on top of the blind. They were moving so fast they looked like teal. Didnt have a prayer on a shot but hey ended up landing.

I believe calling is a huge part of it...

Look at all the yoo-hoo's in thornwell.. just because they have a goose blind, they go get a dozen flocked decoys and a RCC call, they think they will kill them... NOT TRUE..

you have to know what to do, how to do it, and when to do it..

My buddy has a blind there that is surrounded by 5 blinds within a half mile from all directions, and they havent killed near the birds that we have killed.. and one of those 5 blinds killed 250+ birds out of it last year and some idiot drove his fourwheeler down the blind levee knocking all the grass down and making his blind stick out like a sore thumb..

people just dont have a clue

i agree calling is very important in goose hunting more so than duck hunting in my opinion.

Bdub it hard for me to take time out of fishing. Ive only been saltwater fishing for two years so i try and put 110 Percent of my time into it learning every single thing i can from ever person i can. I really dont think i could fit another hobby in bc of the love i have for trout fishing. Guys i dont doubt that its fun and an awesome rush but for me i just dont think it can compare to the pursuit of that big trout!

Maybe if duck hunting wasnt during the BEST TIME TO TROUT FISH!!!! but i guess what helps fishing this time of year is most ppl from this area all duck hunt so they stay off the lake. Which allows for all the big girls to come out and play! So yall stay hunting Imma go fishin

To go duck hunting? Yep! Hey I tell you what... I'll miss a day of duck hunting to go chase slime bullets if you do the same for ducks
