Running wide open was one of the break in procedures for my motor.
I had to run at different RPM's for 5 minutes each, for 10 hours. I had to run wide open for several cycles. I didn't like to, but the dealer said it was how it was supposed to be done. After that 10 hours, they said to run it how I wanted. It don't matter no mo.
