The reaction we get from a lot of people is that home schooled children could not possibly be properly socialized and will be unprepared socially for college, work, and life.

Not at all. Our children (teens now) interact with others who are different all the time. They play several sports, attend classes at a nearby university, and engage a broad spectrum of people in a variety of academic extracurricular activities also.

My daughter was even hired by one of her coaches to help teach the sport to younger children.
