They were not as friendly when asked about antelope and deer hunting... haha.

Yea they like their pheasants too. I've got the little bro collecting names and addresses of well known land owners around his area as we speak. A ton of public land up there also. Gotta step my thermal underwear game up though

Always bring seafood. Nothing like sweetening a deal for them northers like some fresh shrimp. A guy I was talking to says a land owner calls and asks him to come back every year just to get some seafood.

Last year our contact there was impressed the most with my homemade Tasso but he specifically requested seafood. He and his wife go to the local bar and grill weekly for fried carp night.
I had to laugh at eating carp but told him could bring him some flounder and what ever else I could fit in the big ice chest.

Merino wool, only way to go for me. Especially if you are deer hunting and worried about smell.

Last fall I found some good coveys of quail and a few pheasants while bow hunting in Nebraska seems they are making a comeback.
I have a GSP pup and hoping I can bring her on morning bird hunting and evening bow hunting trip to midwest.
