Drive shaft on 2007 2 wheel tundra.

As a Machinist I have built several drive shafts and worked on equipment that has a drive shaft.

I always put a couple of punch marks on each housing to make sure it went back together the same just to eliminate any issues in case there was a problem after it went back together.

But the bottom line is a drive shaft is balanced before it is installed so it should not matter.

Unless he had to cut a yoke off and weld it back on. Then it needs to be re-balanced.
