They did a study in Minnesota a while back and everyone seemed surprised at how much impact the cormorants had on fish populations. They allowed the birds to be thinned out to help the fish stocks.
I sure would like to see that done down here. They seem to be everywhere. |

if there is a season we all need to know the differences between and anhinga and cormorant...these two look very similar, except the cormorant has hooked beak on the end....and the anhinga is a straight beak FYI
