We all know that there are big trout caught in places like ponchatrain, Brenton sound, and Venice but those places don't produce big fish (7 lbs and up) consistently especially on artificials like big lake, sabine, and other bay systems in Texas. The only place that comes close is ponchatrain. I came up fishing on the east side and still do but I enjoy a different type of fishing now and prefer to fish the style of fishing that the west side provides.
