Default poppin bugs

I used to make some of those poppin bugs when I was your age hfool I'd sit for hours whittling on those things. Pretty easy too, go to Hobby Lobby and get a piece of balsa wood (a 1" x 12" block will make a bunch of bugs) and some deco feathers (steal some thread to tie with and the biggest needle you can find from moms sewing kit), a pack of small heavy gauge hooks, some old spinner bait skirts for the legs(use that big needle to push it through the wood), sandpaper, paint, and lacquer.

Every once and a while I'll be digging through an old box and find one, a nice little piece of nostalga.
