Default 8/30/09 big lake

Took the wife, kids and a nephew out on the water. Got a late start, hook stuck in my wifes arm and went through at least 150 dollars worth of gulp and jig heads. Caught 5 nice flats, one nice speck and a w trout. The larger trout was my nephews first speck. He foul hooked a croaker and bam the trout hit as he was reeling in. All in all a good day.

Hitting those flounder holes... I see! Tide must not have been rolling! How many inches was that speck?

Tide very weak coming in till about 12:00 then turned out still real slow. By 1:30 I had all I could take. Oh and Richie broke his new pole only about the seventh in two weeks. Spec was about 24" about four pounds.

It wasn't me. I had a ladyfish hooked and a monster trout halved it at the boat like a shark would do, man it was crazy.

Thank God the barb didn't go in just the point. Trey had to cast his own pole so he did right into his mom's arm. Richie was stuck about 20 feet on the bank and grabbed his pole about 4"s from the tip then decided to pull. Snap! We were about to leave when this happened so he starts freaking out cause his mom said if he broke another one he would be in trouble. Man it was a show out there today almost reminded me of the old days!!
