Yeah, i know what ur saying. "Some" people weren't afraid to use them. I worked in a supermarket 20 years ago and sometimes cashiered. There were some who I could see on their faces that they were a lil embarrassed. And yes they definitely tried to sell their food stamps. We tried to make it harder for them at our store by only accepting food stamps that were still in the books. No loose stamps allowed except for $1's.

Big government is to blame for all of this now. I know of a person who refused a promotion from part time to full time and pay raise because it would affect her ability to get welfare. This makes me so friggen mad! I work a full time job and barely make ends meet and cant qualify for squat from the government. But these people on welfare dont work or barely work and have more cash at the end of the month than i do and can afford $3000 rims and tires, 55 inch LCDs, and gold teefs! Hell, i got a cavity right now and I'll have to struggle just to pay get that filled!!
