We had a power outage at our little campground in Leeville.We returned after not being there for a couple of weeks and OMG. I will never keep bait shrimp in the freezer again. One guy in the campground duct taped his fridge closed and put it out to the road. Being that I didn't have that kinda money, I had to clean mine out.

OdoBan. It works pretty well. I forget the heads and guts in icechest all the time. leaves a fresh kind of smell though. All my icechest smell like this. Not the most manly smell but way better than rotten fish.My wife keeps a bottle in the garage in case i spill the water from the icechest anywhere near the driveway.

Ok out of everything posted here, I would try this. If this guy hasn't learned his lesson and leaves heads in the box regularly, this stuff must really work.

Some coffee grounds will work too. Fresh ones though, not some that you already made coffee with.

I've had this happen a few times with ice chests with bait or fish left in them. Get you a bottle of Mr Clean, fill the fish box with water, and pour in the bottle of Mr Clean. Works 100x's better than bleach. Let it sit for a few hours, drain and rinse.

How can you forget "all the time"? I promise you this is not happinin to me again.
I think the smell is gone. Went outside this morning and sniffed around the entire boat for a few minutes (looked like a rutting buck) and didn't smell it. Told the wife I needed to go run it to make sure the smell doesn;t come back. Going fishing.
