Oyster season ends around April 1st.
They do it certain months of the year and it also depends on water level, temperature and bacteria levels taken by a state man.

There were not near as many oyster fishermen when they had to use manual tongs.
Now that they opened up dredging, everyone is making $300/day before noon.
It is possible to have an oyster license for more than one boat by just one person.
Some greedy oyster fishermen catch 4 or 5 limits per day, on different boats.
Dredges will cut down on the oysters in the lake. But there will still be hard reef bottoms and some small oysters are thrown back in. They don't keep them all.
