Default Grand Isle/Fourchon 10/20-10/23

Made my yearly October trip with my wife's brothers and a bunch of other people last weekend. Thursday we caught 40 specks and another 40 or so white trout that were 12"+. My buddy also caught a legal mangrove snapper inshore on a top dog.

Friday I shouldn't have even got up early to fish but my friends talked me into it. We gave up at 10 with just a few tiny throwback white trout. Ate lunch and regrouped decided to hit the side of highway 1 caught a few 15" trout 3 or 4 keeper reds and more 13" reds than I can count. Saturday morning we decided to go straight to the road and ended up with a decent box of trout and reds. Sat afternoon we hit bayou lafouche and fished drop offs with moving water and it was every cast for a while. With about 50/50 large white trout and nice 15-19" specks. Not bad for a couple hours fishing

Sunday morning we hit the same pattern as sat afternoon and it was on for a while till the current stopped. Ended up with a good box of fish.

Most fish were caught on matrix shad

Here's a couple of other random pics from the trip...
