Unlike geometry or trig EVERYONE will have to manage their finances in the real world!

A lot of people graduate high school and get a job making great money yet have no clue how to manage their money.

With all of the BS classes offered in high school I never understood why they don't offer a class that teaches you how to balance a check book, save for retirement, and make a budget for a household.

I graduated in engineering and even that degree only forced me to take one finance class which was focused on finances for a business not on a personal level. Since graduating I have taken finance courses offered by my employer which has helped but I still feel that I am undereducated in this subject.
Hell, I have a finance and an accounting degree and I feel like I'm still uneducated in the subject. Basically the only thing they taught was time value of money. I completely agree with having a personal finance class in high school. I spent 4 years taking Ag and Gym!
