Default Rod & Reel Suggestions

Hey guys just got back from a week at Holly Beach, caught crabs and watched guys fishing a lot along the beach around the rock piles.
Decided we want to go back in late Oct. after talking to all the locals.
I love the place.

My surf fishing days been over for almost 30 years when I fished around the horn of Florida in about every deep hole there was....

I used ultra light Penn open face because you can actually take them apart and fix them when they get too much whatever.

Used 8 pound test mostly but now thinking 10-12 since the water there is murky no need for ultra light from that angle.

I like my rods to be long, thin, stiff, and lightweight. I need to start first with finding the right rods, then pick the pulley.

These days there is a blur of junk out there, I can't tell anymore, and I just want to do this once and be done with it since our hours there will be few and they will last awhile....

I need some suggestions for a good stiff stick and a decent pulley fellas...
