Sac-a-lait Fishing Going Strong!

Enjoyed a good day of busting up the sacs with Capt Gerald Ellender and my son Chris before the front on Friday. Fished in a cold rain most of the afternoon but it was worth it. Everyone knows how finicky the sac-a-lait can be and we found them eating up our jigs before the rain hit and during the rain. Unfortunately we were not prepared for a hard rain and 15-20 kt winds so we ran to cover and waited for the weather to blow over. We arrived 90 minutes later back at the same location to resume our fishing and the temperature had dropped almost 10 degrees. The fishing was slow, nothing like we experienced before the rain until the last 45 minutes of daylight and we started to slam them again. Finished up with about 60 fish including bass,perch and sacs. Another great day spent in the west Houma marsh. Good luck fishing.
