Thanksgiving hunt--first duck

Took my good friend on a little wood duck hunt. Hit the woods before sun up and immediately the squirrels were moving. My buddy had a few #6's and killed 2 fox squirrels. Walked down the creek and jumped a few ducks. He shot 3 times and misses. Then I seen the look in his eye. Eye of death come across him. We walked a few miles up then split up. I heard 2 shots and a big whoooo hooooo. I went over and he had his first woodie drake. He said "there goes $300" Seen 2 more cat squirrels and killed them too. Need up calling it away at 9am. On the way back we jumped a few different flocks and I knocked down 2 more woodie drakes. Left the woods with 3 wood ducks and 4 squirrels.
