Default 8/16/09 Trip to Big Lake

I have a camp (now for sale) in Grand Isle but since my family moved to Houston a few years ago we are learning big lake as the drive is now to much for us. I have another camp being built in Hackberry and have been fishing with several guides lately trying to learn the lake so my kids are entertained when we go fishing.

Yesterday I was able to fish with Steve who also fishes with Captain Tom (both great guys); we had alot of fun and ended the day 5 trout short of a four man limit with a few redfish thrown in.

I've been reading for a few weeks and wanted to contribute at least something to the board. Big Lake is a great fishery and everyone we have talked to has tried to help us learn the area.
