Default Big Lake Blowout - 10.23.11

Hit the lake yesterday am with Mallardfish and after a somewhat slow start, we kicked it into high gear. From about 9:30 to noon we were steadily slinging trout around mid lake despite a strong south wind. After catching a limit we made another drift on the way to the ramp in roughly 10ft of water and smashed em again, releasing prob 20+. Wind was funny, blowing out of the north, then dead calm, then outta south. Regardless, the water clarity was fantastic. Ended with a limit of trout, caught 3 reds, and I had a wonderful 30lb big nasty.

Fish were caught using our new Bangtime Cork with a YM Trout Fang, Bubble Yum Jerk Jrs, and Mallard threw some sparkle beetles and a Slapstick. Will post another pick up tonight of the Bubble Yum jerk as I caught close to 20 on 1 bait.

The new corks work great and cast like a dream. The double swivels/shorter wire helps a ton.
