Cheers Big Lake 8/24/2011

I am new to the site, so figured I would post my first report! Launched at the Ellender Bridge and picked up some live shrimp at Calc Pt. Started in the LNG and never left...Started trolling the shoreline, throwing live shrimp under a cork...Began catching some decent trout right away as the sun was coming up...Got on a little point where we picked up a few, so started working that area pretty hard...Ended up with about 20 trout, mixed, some nice and quite a few dinks, plus 5 reds, 2 flounder and beau coup drum...I didn't plan on fishing that area long, but we were consistently picking up fish, and the gal at Calc Pt told us it had been slow....Didn't see anyone else really catching so we stuck with it...Once we ran out of the larger live shrimp, the bite slowed...Was back at the launch by 10:00 AM.
