Spinning Reel Question

The best way I've found is fill the spool then either myself or one my boys grab the line & start walking till it's to the knot, then reel it back up & repeat a couple times till twist are gone, but only last maybe one trip. I fish alot of light line & finesse baits bass fishing. & love a spinning reel for pitching around docks & piers, but it's aggravating!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any suggestions?

what kind of line you use, mono, braid? braid has always worked on our spinners
