Default Reggio Reds

Went down to Reggio today to take my stepdad on his first redfishing excursion. We were greeted this morning by gusting winds and a little cloud cover. The tide was ripping but the fish weren't moving. I was getting a little nervous that he wasn't going to land his first red. We saw quite a few fish mid morning but he wasn't able to close the deal. I decided to make a move and hit a spot I have never been and the rest is history as they say. My stepdad landed his first 5 redfish on a spincaster and me and my little brother landed 4 on the fly! We set up in a little cut surrounded by grass and watched upwards of 30 redfish file out in schools of 5 to 10. Needless to say my pops had a great time and can't wait to go back. All and all a really good day.
