Default Thanksgiving day specks

Hunted yesterday morning in lyons point with my brother--n--law to kill some specks. We kind of slept a little late due to a little to much jim beam and coke, but we still managed to get the decoys out and get settled in the blind about 3 minutes to shooting time. I go ahead and load up and i hear brother--n--law say oh no. With all the rushing we were doing he forgot his shells at the house. Luckily i always keep extra in my bag so i gave him a box. Shooting time comes and the geese are really starting to fly. Then all of a sudden 5 teal nearly take our heads off. I hit the call and they bank and come right in the decoys. We jump up and get 1 out of 5 not a good start. About twenty minutes later 3 spoonies decide to committ suicide with 3 in and 0 out. Not long after that the first speck of the morning comes close enough to shoot. Comes right over us telephone pole high with no calling. Jump up 1 shot and he hits the mud with a great splat. The birds were really moving, but none really wanted to work. By this time it's 8 o'clock and we said okay we gonna stay til 9. Then about 30 minutes later 9 specks come over. I hit the redbone and they start working. They'd call and i'd answer it took about 5 minutes and all 9 were locked up with feet down headed straight for the dozen fully flocked ghg fullbodies. I say take'em and 4 shots and 3 birds were down. We could've stayed and maybe killed a snow or 2, but brother--n--law wanted to leave. So we ended the day with 4 specks, 1 teal and 3 spoonies. All in all it was another great hunt.
