I need some advice from all the electrical experts around here. (I'm scared to death of it and know just enough to be dangerous)
I am in the process of rigging up a floating camp. In the old days, my grandfather had a refrigerator that ran on butane and would stay on while we were gone for weeks on end from the marsh. I would like to rig up 3 deep cycle marine batteries to two large solar panels going to an inverter. My question is, will this be enough reserve power to run the small refridgerator and not risk a fire/safety hazard? I would like to keep a small refridgerator on the camp boat to hold the mayo/mustard/ice trays/etc. etc. so it is not needed on every trip. Once there it would be powered by generator. |
