With a cork.........Some days 18" is best, other times 3' works better.
Live shrimp are good to use, but cast netting small bait fish [shad, mullet or croaker] can work just a well. "Popping the Cork"......some times it takes a lot of popping [maybe 3 times in a row, then let it sit for 5 seconds and repeat]. Or maybe pop it just once every 10+ seconds. You just have to figure out how the fish like it that day.
