Take an 8' piece of 6" PVC.
Cap one end. Drill a few holes just above the cap in the pipe section. Tie up to a tree with the open end up. Put a few cracked pecans and/or peanuts in the pipe. When the squirrel gets in and can't get out, put a cap on the other end till you can get it in a cage.
