When I return and head out.
This is supposed to lengthen the life of the battery when you maintain a full charge on it. |

as long as it's a on board style trickle charger / maintainer no... i pretty much leave mine hooked up permanently.

I have been leaving the charger hooked up all the time for the last 6+ years. I did this for 2 different batteries and did not get any different "life" from the batteries I got from Battery Warehouse.
