Default Boat Carpet Adhesive Advice

Got a little crazy with the power washer and peeled up about 4 inches of carpet on my aluminum boat. I want to be proactive and get it glued back down before it turns into a nightmare. Any advice/recommendations for application or brands of adhesive?

I used contact cement. A year later and no problems.

Pull all carpet out and have a scorpion liner in it. Very nice. Toby in Sulphur can hook you up.794-7716

I'm not going to replace the carpet with a liner until it wears out. Plus, I like the feel of carpet and that it doesn't get near as hot as lined aluminum. I'll run by and grab some 3m adhesive today, thanks.
