Fishing Closures East of Mississippi River

As of tonight from Southwest Pass to the east all the way to Lake Borgne is closed to fishing. The whole coastline from SW pass all the way around.The only bodies of water open is Lake Borgne, Lake Pont. and Lake Maurepas. Ths is a precautionary thing to stop vessels from going out there and possibly picking up oil and bringing it back in. So anything from Venice to Lake Borgne is not fishable till further notice. The west side of the river is open as of now. Will give more info as I get it.

This was done to insure recreational boaters stay clear of the area since we have so many response boats pulling/deploying boom. It would just be too unsafe to have weekend warriors riding around out there.
