Ray Savoy and Donna were back onboard today. We were greeted with stiff winds first thing n the morning and extremely low tide. The tide fell two feet overnight from the stiff 30 mph N winds. We found a ton of birds diving on shrimp at our first location, but not many fish were eating. We went on the search to a more protected area with no luck. Upon returning the birds were still working and we began picking away at the trout. Double rigged Matrix Shad was the bait of choice as we tried under a cork with no luck. Lots of running and gunning today as you would only catch 1-4 fish per stop. We worked hard for our catch and the winds never laid down. My crew didn't want to fish for bull reds and it was too shallow to get into any ponds, so we headed in for 1 pm. Thanks Ray and Donna, very enjoyable day with you.
