Jody, Sam, and Gentry slimed up the Bluewave good this morning. We left out of the Reel Inn at daybreak. After a short ride the guys saw their corks going down and the yellowmouths coming to the surface shaking their heads dreading the ice bath in the K2. We worked over the area with Shrimp Creole Matrix under a cork on a 1/4 oz. Golden Eye Jighead. I tried the tight line but the trout didn't want anything of it. We steadily had trout coming in all morning. The bite would slow and within a few minutes it would get going again. With 89 trout in the box and the wind blowing we had to move into more protected areas. We finished off our trout in the marsh pretty quick. The guys added a few reds and bass to the K2 before calling it a day around noon. The trout still seem to favor the cork fishing but in a little deeper water the tight lining has been successful.
